Streaks sweep the Rocks

In order to beat the weather forcast, the Streaks travelled to Rock Island on Friday night rather than the traditional Saturday morning contest.  Galesburg handled the change in routine well as they completed a two game sweep of Rock Island to move their record to 18-3.

Streaks get by Richwoods

Galesburg defeated Peoria Richwoods tonight by a score of 5-4 in 8 innings.  Andrew Steck walked with the bases loaded to record the game winning RBI. Defensively Galesburg committed 0 errors which is what we are most happy about.  Tomorrow we play our conference double header with Rock Island at 3:30.  Sorry to keep this so short but there will be much more baseball to write about after the weekend.  Hope to see you all at Rock Island.

Sophs get to play and beat Mercer County

After only playing one game over the previous 14 days, we finally got to play last night against Mercer County. It was the first time that I had witnessed a baseball game in Aledo and I was impressed by the quality of their field that allowed us to get the 5-3 victory in despite all of the rain that we have had lately.

Streaks "tripped up" at Metamora

The Streaks travelled to Metamora on Tuesday and were defeated by the score of 5-4.  The loss put an end to a 12 game winning streak and moves Galesburg's record to 15-3.
