As I am sure most of you know now, our games with Moline have been postponed. With the varsity field still unplayable, our alternative was to move it to the sophomore field.
Even with the sunny conditions today, it might have been two or three o'clock by the time it was playable. Without lights, it would have been hard pressed to get a double header in.
So, for now, it is going to be rescheduled for Saturday, May 14th. By this time, the rest of the conference season is finished. Circle this date on your calender folks. If both teams do what I think they should do, this Saturday should decide the conference champions. Sundberg Field should be ready and the weather will hopefully accommodate. I don't want to look ahead, but that weekend could be just like the girls basketball game against Moline. Last game of the year and a conference title will be on the line. Doesn't get any better than that.
