Streaks finish regular season with a loss to PND

In a perfect scenario, I would like to win every single time out.  Competitiveness is a driving force not easily removed for some people.  (It can also cause problems...ask my wife)  Ideally, the coaches would like to go into the post season on a high note.  That didn't happen as the Streaks lost to PND by a score of 4-0...running their regular season record to 26-9.  However, in this particular situation, I think the bigger picture was more important than the individual game.

The most obvious area for us to work on to be successful is our defense.  Tonight, we looked better...committing one error in 10 innings.  It is no secret to the coaches or the players that we have to handle the baseball to achieve what we all believe is possible for this year's team.  Our kids know how to play, and I hope they gained a little confidence in their ability today.  We will see.

Logan Scott pitched well for most of the way.  He scattered the Notre Dame hits and kept his team close enough to give them a chance.  Our pitching staff has done that all year long.  Tonight, we just couldn't come up with the two out hit.

Offensively we were pretty stagnant.  Though, I do think, after our workout today we will be ready to go.  At this point we are not going to teach anything new...they are just going to have to play.  From this point on, it is win or go home.

Go Streaks!
